Spencer Fane Law Firm - Wood Mosaic
|
Richard and Michele Fritz, created a 6 × 6-foot collaborative wood mosaic for Spencer Fane Law Firm during a corporate event at Kansas City's Union Station.
Over five hours, approximately 500 participants decorated individual wooden tiles using wood-dye markers and the firm's signature colors. Participants incorporated personal drawings and symbols, expressing their individual identities within a larger composition. Richard and Michele assembled the pieces into a unified artwork representing the Spencer Fane logo. Over the following six weeks, they refined the composition, completed the finishing work and professionally framed the mosaic. Delivered in December 2024, the completed artwork was installed in Spencer Fane's downtown Kansas City lobby as part of its permanent corporate art collection. Artistic significance: The project demonstrates how individual creative expression and shared authorship can be transformed through professional artistic direction into a cohesive, permanent work of art. |
